An early/mid-19th century Italian clock painting indistinctly signed on the lower right corner. The oil painting is set in a period Empire gilt frame and depicts a bucolic mountain scene with a pair of musicians; one playing a mandolin or a lute and the another the tambourine. They are amid the company of a seated lady and a gentlemen resting on a cane in front of a niche of the Virgin Mary. The clock dial is housed in a church steeple. The twin barrel clock movement activates two separate gongs ringing the hours and quarters. The canvas has been relined.
